Art Moriya is a Shonan-based company that has produced numerous works of art for the world by using the world's first technology that combines natural indigo with plastering techniques. Reita Moriya, the first indigo plasterer, who is a top architectural creator and contemporary furniture artist, said, "I made the table with plastering techniques using Italian plastering materials of the highest quality, recycled coffee husks and marble, which are inevitable by-products of coffee production. This technique can be used not only for furniture but also for floors and walls. The coffee hulls are provided by a coffee shop in Fujisawa City," he said.

In addition to the coffee shells, the company also produces works using various waste materials, such as shells from Ishinomaki City, wine, and waste materials from making art works produced by the company. Mr. Moriya said, "By utilizing the know-how we gained in developing techniques for using natural indigo, the dye used in indigo dyeing, in plastering and then applying it to a variety of waste materials, new techniques are created and these become unique artworks, leading to ethical consumption. We also believe that this will lead to the expansion of the possibilities of plastering.
I believe that I can solve social issues by thinking about how we can utilize the waste materials that were originally circulated in Japanese culture, such as natural indigo and shellfish ashes, but are no longer consumed due to the changing times and society. This is a solution to social issues that I can do. Sending out this message from Shonan, where 'cool' has been a part of the culture for a long time, will lead to new values that can be communicated to Japan and the world.
